Perhaps a good subsititute for countdowns 8 and 7

I apologise if you were waiting for numbers 8 and 7, you know... regular hustle and bustle of late night work and all that. But for those who have waited patiently, here's my two cents on the topic.

I was thinking of what creative ways I could present for numbers 8 and 7 to put a krinkle-twist to your holiday gift, while waiting for the wrapper-genius to post her entries*, and came up with these ideas.

For all us gift buyers in strife of finding the perfect gift for that special someone, here's a little suggestion. I do not advocate shoving an idea down someones throat, but if you were just looking for some ideas, here are some I thought would be sweet in a deep and meaningful way.

Countdown 8 days to Christmas:
How about purchasing an animal for a family who needs it which might quite possibly bring hope to said family in need. And I don't mean for your next-door neighbor. Perhaps if you type down "buy a cow for a family" you'll be able to do more research on the topic and feel swayed to ponder on the idea.
How would this be a Christmas gift for a special someone?
Buy the animal under his/her name. (Perhaps chocolate to go along with the cert?)

Countdown 7 days to Christmas:
Sponsoring a child. Same concept, but for a little human being :)
Again, how would this be a Xmas gift for your loved one?
Sponsor the child under his/her name. They'll get updates throughout the year, and that warm fuzzy feeling they'll get, well, it goes a long way.

Hope this helped :)
Any great Christmas ideas - gifts/parties/carols/etc? Let us know!
